We have developed an Intern Programme to provide aspiring marketing and media professionals with on the job experience in our fast growing and exciting global media consultancy company.

At ID Comms we are always looking towards the future. We are invested in new talent and believe it is important to offer students and graduates experience in the industry.

Here an internship is considered a two-way process. You will learn a great deal about the industry and how it works and your input will be valued throughout the process. You will be involved in live projects with industry leaders as well as working with internal marketing, taking an active role in shaping our future and your own. We can offer you breadth and flexibility – if there is something you are really interested in doing then just ask.

We have four 12-week placements available (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct) where you will work alongside our team for up to 35 hours per week. As you join ID Comms as a valued member, you will be remunerated for your work.

What will you do?

We will be guided by you in your internship but here are some examples of what you can expect:

  • Participation in weekly calls with clients.
  • Application of marketing theory to real-life situations.
  • Continuous learning about the Media Industry, current trends and future prospects.
  • Exposure to the roles of Project Manager, Consultant and Analyst and how ID Comms helps clients to navigate change.
  • Experience in key transferrable skills, for example market research techniques.
  • Responsibility for internal marketing - ongoing improvements and day-to-day promotion of Intern program (ie. Enhancing and promoting our social media platforms and updating the Intern handbook).
  • A chance to show us what you can do through an on-going project.

We work with leading brands and liaise with pioneering media agencies therefore you will gain an understanding of each side of the agency/advertiser relationship.

You can expect to learn a lot. Our projects are extremely varied and fast-moving and the team has a wealth of experience which you can learn from. By the end of the 4 weeks you will understand the basis of the industry and its key players. You will also gain an understanding of different employment routes and of the type of career path that may be right for you.

We offer a more personalised programme. Being part of an intimate team enables you to talk one on one with everyone and have your voice heard at every level.
